About The Conference

SAOT is once again proud to organize the National Occupational Therapy Conference 2015, with this year's theme centered on "Celebrating Diversity, Advancing in Unity".

2015 marks the 40th anniversary of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists, as well as the 50th birthday of Singapore. We will celebrate the contributions of Occupational Therapists in Singapore over the past 50 years, and present discussions on how Occupational Therapy should advance as a profession for Singapore. The conference theme, "Celebrating Diversity, Advancing in Unity", aims to recognise the diverse roles of Occupational Therapists, and share innovative projects and scientific research in niche areas.

Why Attend?

With support from local and overseas experts, this year's programme features the roles of Occupational Therapy in palliative care, mental health care, and work rehabilitation. These topics are chosen in response to requests from the wider Occupational Therapy community in Singapore, as well as feedback from the delegates of NOTC 2014. The Introduction to the VdT Model of Creative Ability, a relatively new model, enables Occupational Therapists to conceptualise Occupational Performance in levels of motivation and creative ability. Delegates can look forward to pre-conference visits, which aim to demonstrate the diverse roles of Occupational Therapy in community based facilities in Singapore.
