Workplace Ambassador

Open throughout the year

Commitment period: 2 years

Requirement: SAOT member and representation of your organisation

Frequency of volunteering/meetings:
At least 2 engagement sessions in a year. Workplace ambassadors may also be activated to assist with events such as OT day if necessary.

Benefit as a volunteer:
As a workplace ambassador you can have the opportunity to network with other ambassadors in various workplaces. This could lead to opportunities for sharing of resources and collaboration for events. All workplace ambassadors will be added into a common group chat where information will be exchanged directly with SAOT representatives.

Special Interest Group (SIG) Committee

Open throughout the year

Commitment period: 2 years

Requirement: SAOT member

Frequency of volunteering/meetings:
At least 2 planning meetings in a year.

SIG committee members will support in co-organising at least 2 SIG sessions in a year

Benefit as a volunteer:
As a Special Interest Group Committee member, you will have the opportunity to organise events that are related to your specialist field. These SIG events can include knowledge-based or skills-based sharing sessions. Through these events, you will have opportunities to network and share resources to improve the impact of OT professional practice for the health and well-being of Singapore’s community.

  • Geriatrics SIG
  • Mental Health SIG
  • Hands SIG
  • Paediatrics SIG
  • Physical Dysfunction and Rehabilitation SIG
  • Assistive Technology SIG
  • Low Vision SIG
