Research and Development

SAOT supports the research and professional development of occupational therapists in Singapore via multiple initiatives. 

National Occupational Therapy Conference provides a platform for international and local occupational therapists to share research findings and experiences to continue addressing gaps in knowledge and services. You can find past conference abstracts here. 

SAOT commits annual research grants to support local occupational therapists to conduct clinical research to develop the research expertise and experiences and to ultimately improve the occupational therapy services to the beneficiaries. To support occupational therapists who are starting the research journey, SAOT has gathered a group of experienced researchers as research mentors who are happy to offer guidance and consultation for occupational therapists. Read more here.
