Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Group (SIGs) serve as a platform for occupational therapists who work in similar specialist areas of practice to come together to share resources, and collaborate across institutions to improve the impact of OT professional practices for the health and well-being of Singapore’s community.

The aims of the SIGs include:

  • Exchange specialist knowledge, skills and best practices
  • Promote learning in specialist fields
  • Support the use of evidence to inform practice
  • Encourage continuing professional development (CPD) and networking

Current SIGs at SAOT are:

    1. Assistive Technology
    2. Geriatrics
    3. Hand Therapy
    4. Low Vision
    5. Mental Health
    6. Paediatrics
    7. Participation & Disability
