27 Mar Growing the profession and transforming lives at SPD
Tay Hwee Lin, Principal Occupational Therapist at the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD), has played a pivotal role in shaping community-based rehabilitation in Singapore. Since joining in the early 2000s, she’s grown SPD’s Therapy Hub from a team of just 3 therapists to over 100 today – creating access to allied health services across social service agencies, preschools, and eldercare centres.
In 2023, she was recognised with the NCSS Social Service Fellowship for her contributions to the OT profession and workforce development.
Hwee Lin’s journey reflects the impact of vision, leadership, and a deep commitment to person-centred care.
