Description

Two Groups of Person(s) will be eligible for Associate Membership:

  1. Persons currently residing in a foreign country, possessing a qualification in Occupational Therapy recognized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists and by the Executive Council of the Association
  2. Persons who are:
    • Working as Occupational Therapy Assistants in Singapore, AND
    • Under the supervision of an occupational therapist for all or part of their work

Note: Individual associate members can only participate in General meetings as observers and will have no voting rights.

Terms & Conditions

For all Ordinary & Associate Memberships:

  • All membership renewals will be charged on an annual basis.
  • The Date of Renewal will be one year from the Date of Approval.
  • All Renewals will be automatic based on the membership processing system, except for requests to terminate membership early.

Renewal Process:

  • 1 month before Date of Renewal, members will receive a notification from Website Membership System of the auto-deduction from their credit/debit card on the Date of Renewal.
  • Upon successful auto-deduction, member will receive confirmation/receipt of their payment and be prompted to check the membership portal to see their new Date of Renewal.
  • Should there be an unsuccessful deduction on the Date of Renewal, the membership will immediately expire and member will no longer enjoy any membership benefits. Your profile will however still be accessible to allow for renewal.

Request for Early Termination of Membership:

Members who do not wish to continue with the annual membership subscription will need to email to SAOT@live.com at least 2 weeks before the end of the membership period with the following information:

  • Email subject: “Membership Termination”
  • Full Name (as per AHPC registration)
  • AHPC registration number (if applicable)
  • Personal Email address used for SAOT membership
  • Screenshot of Current Membership Expiry Date (from Membership Portal)

After the request to terminate membership has been approved, your membership will be terminated at the end of the current membership period. No refund will be provided for discontinuation of subscription prior to the end of the Membership Period.
